F. Gül Yazıcıoğlu

She completed the undergraduate education at Hacettepe University, School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation in 1978, completed the master’s degree in 1981 and the doctorate in 1987 at Hacettepe University, Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. She received the title of Professor in 1995, held many managerial positions, and most recently served as the Dean of Hacettepe University, Faculty of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation between 2019-2021. She has more than 100 national and international publications and many projects in the fields of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, prosthesis, orthosis and biomechanics. She has given many courses in the field of prosthetics orthotics at associate, undergraduate, master’s and doctoral levels.

Yoshiyuki Sankai (Japan)

Prof. Dr. Yoshiyuki SANKAI earned a Ph.D. in Engineering from University of Tsukuba in Japan in 1987. He has progressed to professorship at the Graduate School of Systems and Information Engineeringat the University of Tsukuba. Dr. Sankai was also a visiting professor at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas in the United States. He currently serves as a professor, the Executive Research Director at the Center for Cybernics Research and the Director at the F-MIRAIat the University of Tsukuba. He is the President and CEO of CYBERDYNE Inc. Prof. Sankai is a member of many associations related to health and engineering. Sankai has received many important awards such as Intellectual Property Achievement Awards, World Technology Award, Good Design Award.

Sebastian Engwald Jensen (Denmark)

Sebastian Engwald Jensen, a 35-year-old individual who epitomizes the power of resilience and determination. At the age of 11, a tragic boating accident resulted in the loss of his leg, but he refused to let it define him. Sebastian became a professional paratriathlete, defying all odds. Lasse Madsen (Denmark)

At the age of 14, Lasse W. Madsen had his right leg amputated 10 centimeters above the knee after a traffic accident. The doctors’ report was that he would never run again. But Lasse W. Madsen was running and doing somersaults nine months later, and today he has turned his accident into a worldwide business. With an engineering background, Lasse has developed his leadership skills at the company Viking, where he ended his career as development director in 2019 to start Levitate. With his impressive management experience and his courageous startup Levitate, Lasse W. Madsen is placed on the American business magazine Forbes’ prestigious ’30 under 30′ list of business talents. Levitate, produces and sells sports prostheses 90 per cent. He is currently the founder and CEO of Levitate.

Mustafa Akkaya

Dr Mustafa Akkaya has an associate professor degree in the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology at Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University in Turkey. He completed his orthopaedics and traumatology residency at the same institution. He has a PhD degree in Musculoskeletal System and Regenerative Medicine. He is the former president of the Turkish Residents and Young Attendings Council and served as a board member in several boards of the Federation of Orthopaedic Trainees in Europe. He has several publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and has completed several European Union and national projects. Dr Mustafa Akkaya had been in Atos Clinic in Germany and Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute in Italy for short term fellowships. He had worked in a clinical research fellowship position in Helios ENDO-Klinik-Hamburg, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in Germany. Dr Mustafa Akkaya is interested in knee & hip arthroplasty, revision surgery and advanced joint replacement.

Senay Çerezci Duygu

She graduated from Başkent University, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in 2013. She completed the master’s and doctorate education at Hacettepe University, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Prosthetics, Orthotics and Biomechanics program. She worked as a Research Assistant and Lecturer at Başkent University between 2014-2022. In February 2022, he was appointed as a Lecturer at the Department of Orthotics and Prosthesis, University of Health Sciences, Gülhane Faculty of Health Sciences. She has been serving as the Head of the Department since 2022.

Mustafa Demiral

Mustafa Demiral is a prosthetic orthotic technician who was born in 1973 and is married. After graduating from Ankara University Dikimevi Vocational School of Health Services, Orthosis and Prosthesis Department in 1993, he successfully completed Anadolu University, Faculty of Economics, Public Administration Department in 2004, and then completed his bachelor’s degree in health and Istanbul University, Open and Distance Education Faculty Management Department. He worked at Erdem Medical Prosthesis Orthosis Center between 1995 and 1998, and at TSK Rehabilitation Center between 1999 and 2016. After working in the Orthosis-Prosthesis Unit, he currently works at Gaziler FTR Training and Research Hospital. He continues to work as a prosthetic orthosis technician at the Orthosis-Prosthesis Production and Application Center.

Özden Yalçınkaya Alkar

She completed her undergraduate education in Middle East Technical University, Department of Psychology in 1997, completed her master’s degree in Middle East Technical University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Psychology in 2001 and her doctorate in 2006. In 2020, she received the title of professor. Since 2013, she has been working as a faculty member at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Psychology.  She received CBT training from Beck Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Institute. She has many national and international publications and projects in the field of psychology. She has also received CBT-oriented theoretical and applied psychotherapy trainings on different psychopathologies from many international psychotherapists and scientists. In addition to her undergraduate programme, she teaches theoretical and applied courses and CBT-oriented supervision in the Clinical Psychology Master’s and Doctoral Programmes at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. She has authored more than 50 scientific articles and book chapters in these fields. Currently, she is the Vice Chair of the Department of Psychology and Head of the Department of Clinical Psychology at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University.

Necati Yücel Yıldız

In 1989, he graduated from Hacettepe University Prosthetics-Orthotics department. Later, in 2021, he completed Istanbul University Health Management Undergraduate programme. He has been working in the private sector between 1990-1997. Since December 1997, he has been working in GATA and Gaziler Hospital Prosthetics-Orthotics unit.  He teaches as an Expert Instructor in the University of Health Sciences Prosthetics-Orthotics Undergraduate and Associate Degree programmes. At the same time, he is the Education Coordinator of the Veterans Prosthetics-Orthotics Unit of these programmes.

Mehmet Can Yıldız

In 2015, he graduated from Hacettepe University Prosthetics and Orthotics Department. He has been working as the Responsible Manager at Nanomed Prosthetics and Orthotics Centre since the school period and after graduation until today. Thanks to the trainings and certificates he has received, he performs advanced technology Lower Extremity Prosthesis, Bionic Arm Prosthesis applications in Upper Extremity. Finally, he continues his current trainings on Silicone Cosmetic Prostheses, which are rarely applied in our sector. Nanomed Prosthesis Orthosis Centre performs Silicone Prosthesis Applications under the name SiliconHouse.

Hasan Ersöz

After graduating from Dicle University Faculty of Medicine, he worked at İzmir Dokuz Eylül University Hospital and İzmir Tepecik Training and Research Hospital. After his short-term experience in Manisa State Hospital, he returned to Izmir again, this time with the title of “Assistant Professor” and “Head of the Department of Thoracic Surgery – Founding Faculty Member”. At the same time, in January 2019, he went to Shanghai-China to Dr Diego Gonzales Rivas, the leading physician of closed lung surgery, and received training in minimally invasive thoracic surgery (VATS). He is currently working as an academician at Izmir Tınaztepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Thoracic Surgery. He adopts the importance of non-surgical treatment as a priority in the treatment of pectus deformities and acts with the principle of performing surgery only on patients who will not benefit from these treatments.

Zilan Bazancir

In 2013, she graduated from Gazi University Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation. She worked as a research assistant at İnönü University between 2016-2018 and Hacettepe University between 2018-2022. In 2018, she received the degree of science expertise from İnönü University Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation programme and in 2022, she received the PhD of science from Hacettepe University Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation programme. Since 2022, she has been working as a faculty member in Ankara Medipol University Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department. She carries out clinical and academic studies in the fields of orthopaedic rehabilitation, rehabilitation technologies, orthosis, biomechanics, scoliosis, chest and spine deformities.

Felix Brinckmann (Germany)

He received training to become a Certified Prosthetist orthotist between 1996-2000. He worked as a manager in different private companies between 2005-2020. He has been working at Proteor since 2020, where he still works. He serves as European Technical Manager at Proteor.

Hilal Keklicek

She completed the undergraduate education at Hacettepe University, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in 2006, completed the master’s degree in 2011 and the doctorate in 2015 at Hacettepe University, Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Prosthesis-Orthotics and Biomechanics. She received the title of associate professor in 2020. She has been working as a lecturer at Trakya University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation since 2017. She has many national and international publications, projects and patents in the fields of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, prosthesis, orthosis and biomechanics. She carries out his studies on time series in movement and walking.

Cengiz Demirkundak

Cengiz Demirkundak, the founder and CEO of Alpmed Medical Devices, completed the undergraduate education at Hacettepe University, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in 2011. Between 2011 and 2012, he worked on biomechanical analysis and gait analysis at Ghent University, Belgium. In 2014, he founded Alpmed Medical Devices Company, which distributes products widely used in scientific research of distinguished companies in the fields of gait analysis, sports sciences and biomechanics. He currently continues his education and studies on Biomechanical analysis at Marmara University Health Sciences Institute Movement and Training Sciences Master’s Program.

Friedbert Kohler (Australia)

Professor Friedbert Kohler was president of ISPO International from 2017 to 2019 and was serving on the Executive board of ISPO from 2013 to 2021. He was President of ISPO Australia from 2005 to 2011. In 2018 he was awarded the Order of Australia Medal (OAM) in recognition of his longstanding, dedicated contributions to rehabilitation medicine. He holds a conjoint academic appointment as Professor at the South Western Sydney Clinical School of the University of NSW, Sydney, Australia. He has been working with many international groups including the WHO for 2 decades in the fields of rehabilitation and assistive technology and implementation of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health. His primary clinical position is as Senior Staff Specialist in Rehabilitation Medicine at Braeside Hospital.  Administratively he is the Clinical Director for Aged Care and Rehabilitation for South Western Sydney Local Health District and the Director of Medical Services for HammondCare Health

Hatice Gül

She graduated from Dumlupınar University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. She completed his thesis titled “Evaluation of capacity and performance according to ICF in independent ambulation of below-knee amputees” at Hacettepe University Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Prosthesis-Orthotics and Biomechanics Program. She completed his doctorate at Pamukkale University, Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation. Her areas of study are the development of the ICF Core Set in amputees and the application of ICF association rules. She is currently working as a lecturer at Akdeniz University Vocational School of Health Services, Physiotherapy Program.

Narin Kurtuluş (Germany), rahm Gmbh

Born in 1977 in Germany, Narin Kurtuluş graduated from vocational high school in 1997 and worked as an assistant to an orthopaedic physician for 9 years.  She started vocational high school again in 2006 for her second profession, prosthetic orthotics technician. She has graduated since 2009. Between 2010 and 2019, she worked in Ottobock company on prostheses, and since 2019, she worked in Rahm company by developing the expertise on orthoses. The last project she managed is the Myo electronic upper limb orthosis Neo1, which is the result of a joint work with Vincent company and introduced on 2 September 2023.

Ömer Deveci

He is a hands-on and customer-centric technical leader with +9 years of experience in MedTech and IIoT. He has built award-winning products by taking an idea from scratch, validating it with the end users, designing the concept, building the system architecture, and rapid prototyping. He has an obsessive focus on customers and their everyday problems. His approach is “Not only listening to customers but also inventing on their behalf. ” He is Technical Implementation Manager at Ottobock.

David De Magtige

Since 2015 he has been International Sales Director for UK-based Saebo, tackling the challenge of increasing Saebo’s worldwide network to improve the mobility and function of individuals suffering from neurological and orthopedic conditions. Additionally, de Magtige has 17 years of experience as business development manager for Endolite at Chas A Blatchford & Sons, based in Basingstoke, England. It expanded its distributor network in Europe by opening Endolite centers in France, Germany, Norway and Turkey. He is also an experienced educator who has developed training programs for Orthotics & Prosthetics students in Benelux and Scandinavia and Amputee Fitness Days in Europe. He holds a technical engineering diploma in electronics and a master’s degree in business economics and industrial electronics.

Uğur Cavlak

In 1989, he graduated from Hacettepe University School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation as a physiotherapist. He became a science specialist in 1992, a doctor of science in 1996, an associate professor in 2001, and a professor in 2008. He worked at Hacettepe, Dokuz Eylül, Pamukkale, Lefke European, and Eurasia Universities. In 2018, he retired from Pamukkale University. Since 2022, he has been working at Biruni University. He is interested in neurological rehabilitation, chronic pain management, geriatric rehabilitation, and communication techniques. He has edited three books on chronic musculoskeletal pain management, physiotherapist and patient communication, and muscle tone disorders and rehabilitation.

 

Francesco Chiampo (Italy)

Francesco CHIAMPO is a physiotherapist. He is trained in the Bobath Concept, OMTP Manual Therapy Concept. He has worked as a professor in the undergraduate physiotherapy programme at the Università degli Studi di Parma. He is the owner and founder of Centro San Girolamo rehabilitation centre, active in rehabilitation, neurorehabilitation and gait analysis. He then established the first Cyberdyne HAL ML05 authorised centre in Italy.  He is currently the exclusive representative in Italy for HAL Hybrid Assistive Limb.

Umut Altınkaynak

He completed his secondary education in science. He represented our country in the “First Step to the Nobel Prize in Physics” with his special work called Thermograph, which he prepared together with Tayfun Bilsel, Founding CEO of Clinked, Rabbitsoft, and a Software Engineer from Cambridge University. He is a mechanical engineer, mechanical theory and dynamics expert, biomechanical systems researcher, and wearable robot researcher. He works on mathematical modeling and analysis of human movement and synthesizes treatment protocols for pathologies from these analyses. He has worked on TUBITAK R&D projects. He is currently continuing his R&D activities at INSOL Innovative and his studies on generalized gait concepts and eigenvalue analysis.

Sanna Oscarsson (England)

She graduated from Backang Natural Sciences High School in 2014. She graduated from Jönköping University as a certified prosthetist orthotist in 2017. She worked at the Sweden clinic of Össur company between 2017-2021. Since 2021, she has been a clinical educator in Fillauer Europe, especially in upper limb prosthetics.

 

Kadir Şahin

Kadir Şahin was born in 1974 in Kaman, Kırşehir. He graduated from the Ankara University Orthopedic Prosthetics and Orthotics Department in 1995. Founded in 1998, he is the General Manager of Ortoport Health Company and carries out activities in Turkey and abroad. He is married and has a daughter who is a student of prosthetic orthosis.

Serkan ÜLKÜ

Serkan Ülkü graduated from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Social Work. He worked in public service in the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Family and Social Services, and Military Psychiatry. Between 2012 and 2016, he worked as a senior manager in the field of disability and aging in the private sector. In 2016, he founded the Ülkü Group of Companies and put into operation Afyonkarahisar Ülkü Care Centres, Ülkü Hayat Nursing Home, and Muhterem Care Centres. He is the founder and manager of the international company serving in the field of international health and care tourism, which was established under the ZSA Health Brand as of 2021 within the group. Serkan ÜLKÜ, who has awards in the field of entrepreneurship, takes on voluntary responsibilities in many non-governmental organizations. He is the founding president of the Foundation for the Development of Disabled and Elderly Services.

Çiğdem Ayhan Kuru

Çiğdem Ayhan Kuru is a faculty member at Hacettepe University, Faculty of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation. In 2001, she graduated from Hacettepe University with honors. In 2004, she completed her master’s program and received her doctorate degree in 2010, associate professor in 2016, and professor in 2023. She has had educational and research activities in the field of hand rehabilitation in Belgium and Italy. She has carried out many important research studies and projects in her field. She has many international publications, patents, and awards in the field of hand rehabilitation. She has been the Turkish representative of the European Network of Physiotherapy in Higher Education’s Association. She is currently a board member of the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Education Association.

Wendy Medeiros (USA)

She received a Bachelor of Science in Cellular Biology from Chaminade University in 1987–1988, a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Medicine from the University of Hawaii in 1988–1989, and a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from San Jose State University in 1993. In 1993–1998, she worked at Stanford University Hospital in hand therapy, dysphagia research, HIV/AIDS research, and lymphedema research. She was part of the team that established North America’s first lymphedema facility. Between 2000 and 2006, she founded Howard Therapy, a private hand therapy rehabilitation clinic in Redwood City, California, which she owned and operated. Since 2006, she has been the owner, inventor, and manufacturer of the Wristwidget®. WristWidget® has touched over 1 million wrists worldwide.

Bahar Anaforoğlu Külünkoğlu

A 2003 graduate of Hacettepe University, Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, Bahar Anaforoğlu Külünkoğlu completed her master’s and doctorate degrees at Hacettepe University in 2006 and 2011 respectively. Between 2008-2012, she worked as a lecturer at Başkent University, between 2012-2014, she worked as an assistant professor at Başkent University, and after 2014, she started to work at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. Since 2014, he has been working in Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, and since 2019, he has been working as an Associate Professor, and at the same time, he is the head of the department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. Bahar Anaforoğlu Külünkoğlu, who has many national and international articles in the field of sports and prosthetics-orthotics in the disabled, is a member of the International Society of Prosthetics and Orthotics.

Muhammet Mustafa Sulak

Muhammet Mustafa Sulak, who graduated from Atatürk University Faculty of Medicine in 2012, completed his specialization at the same university in 2018. Sulak, who works in hospitals such as Ayancık State Hospital, Durağan State Hospital and Vm Kocaeli Medical Park Hospital, has been a sub-branch specialist in Algology at Hacettepe University since 2022. He currently works as a research assistant at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Algology.

 

Selçuk İsaoğlu (Germany)

After completing the primary and secondary education in Turkey, he successfully completed her undergraduate education in Psychology at the University of Kassel, Germany (Bachelor of Science). He then continued the master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, Psychotherapy and Clinical Neuropsychology at Bielefeld University (Master of Science). In his undergraduate thesis, he discussed the relationships between chronic pain and depression and multimodal pain therapy. His master’s thesis examined the relationships between chronic pain and depression, anxiety and stress disorders, multimodal pain therapy and the moderating effects of pain on psychological disorders. Selçuk İsaoglu is a professional with 6 years of experience in the field of pain and currently works at St. Petersburg Hospital, which belongs to the Catholic Hospitals Group. He works as a psychologist in the field of multimodal pain therapy at the pain clinic of Vincenz Hospital Brakel.

Yavuz Yakut

Prof. Dr. Yavuz Yakut completed the undergraduate education at Hacettepe University School of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. He received his doctorate degree from Hacettepe University, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in 1990. He also received a master’s degree from Hasan Kalyoncu University, Department of Educational Measurement and Evaluation. He was the editor of the Turkish Journal of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. He was the president of the Turkish Physiotherapists Association. He is currently the editor of the Journal of Exercise Therapy and Rehabilitation, which he founded. He is the founding president of the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Education Association. His areas of interest are orthotics and prosthesis, cerebral palsy and scoliosis, measurement and evaluation in education, research methodology, clinical biomechanics and kinesiology. He has many international and national publications. He has patents and research in the field of prosthetics and orthotics. Prof. Yakut has membership in international and national professional organizations. He continues to work as the Head of Hasan Kalyoncu University Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department.

Murat Ali Çınar

Murat Ali Çınar, who graduated from Dokuz Eylül University, Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation in 2010, completed his master’s and doctorate degrees at Hasan Kalyoncu University in 2017 and 2021, respectively. He worked as a physiotherapist at Acıbadem Health Groups between 2010 and 2014. Between 2015 and 2021, he worked as a research assistant at Hasan Kalyoncu University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. After 2021, Dr. He continues to work at Hasan Kalyoncu University as a faculty member. Murat Ali Çınar, who has many national and international articles, also takes part in many Tübitak projects.

Kemal Güllü

Professor Dr. Kemal Güllü, who works at Izmir Bakırçay University, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He completed his undergraduate, graduate and doctoral studies at Kocaeli University, Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering in 2001, 2003 and 2006, respectively. He worked as a faculty member at Kocaeli University, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering between 2006-2020. He has been working as a faculty member at Izmir Bakırçay University, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering since 2020. He actively took part in many R&D projects. He has many publications and 2 patents within the scope of these projects. Dr. Kemal Güllü continues his R&D activities for the health and defense industry on signal processing, image processing, computer vision, remote sensing and machine learning.

Orhan Er

He was born in Mardin in 1978. After completing his primary, secondary and high school education in Diyarbakır, he graduated from Sakarya University, Department of Computer Engineering in 2001. He completed his master’s degree in 2004 and his doctoral studies in 2009 in the Computer and Information Engineering and Electrical-Electronics Engineering departments of the Institute of Science and Technology of the same university. He received his associate professorship from the Department of Computer Engineering in 2018. As of 2023, he continues his academic life as a professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at Izmir Bakırçay University.

Alp Erol Evrendilek

After completing his high school education as one of the last graduates of Bahçelievler Anatolian Health Vocational High School, he completed his associate degree at Istanbul Aydın University. He completed his undergraduate education at Istanbul Medipol University in 2022. During this period, he worked at Proklinik for 8 years, from his high school years until 2023. By establishing the RootCover brand in January 2023, it provides services to companies and patients by working on personalized 3D designs in the prosthetics-orthotics sector.

 

Levent Aydın

After graduating from Kocaeli University, Faculty of Technical Education, Department of Electronics and Computer Education in 2012, he completed his master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at the same university in 2014 and his doctorate in 2020. He has national and international publications on three-dimensional technologies and orthoses. Levent Aydın, who works as the assistant director of Kocaeli University, Vocational School of Health Services, works in areas such as Biomedical Image Processing, Biomechanics, Biomedical Engineering, Tissue Engineering, Finite Element Method, Biomechanics, Biomaterials.

 Çağıl Ertan Duygu

He was born in 1986. He graduated from Ankara University Orthopedic Prosthetics-Orthotics Department in 2011. In the same year, he started working in the technical team at Ottobock Türkiye. In 2019, he founded his own application center, “Bionic Center” Prosthesis Orthosis center. He has been continuing its activities in the field of Prosthesis and Orthotics since 2019. He has been carrying out R&D studies on 3D prosthetic socket applications for about 1 year.

Serdar Okumuş

Serdar Okumuş, who graduated from Mimar Sinan University, Department of Architecture in 1999, founded 5 Dakika Design Agency in 2003 and carried out his practices in the field of decoration and architecture. It has been providing ‘experience design’ services since 2008. The Robot Hand Turkey social responsibility project, which he started to carry out in 2014, turned into the Robot Hand Association, of which he is one of the founders, in 2017. He currently serves as the president of the Robot Hand Association, which provides free mechanical hands with 3D printers to children with hand and finger deformations.

Senem Demirdel

She completed his undergraduate education at Dumlupınar University, Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation in 2008, completed the master’s degree at Hacettepe University, Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Prosthesis-Orthosis and Biomechanics in 2012, and the doctorate in 2019. She has been working as a faculty member at the Gülhane Faculty of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at the University of Health Sciences since 2020. She has national and international publications in the fields of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, prosthesis, orthosis and biomechanics. She continues to work in the fields of amputee rehabilitation and geriatric rehabilitation.

Özge Buket Arslan

She graduated from Hacettepe University, Department of Occupational Therapy in 2015. She completed the master’s degree at Hacettepe University Occupational Therapy Department in 2018. She completed the doctorate education at Hacettepe University Occupational Therapy Department in 2022. She worked as a research assistant at Hacettepe University Occupational Therapy Department between 2016-2022. She has been working as a lecturer in the same department since 2022. She continues her work in the field of hand rehabilitation.

 

Tarık Tunçer

He graduated from Ankara University, Vocational School of Health, Department of Prosthesis-Orthotics in 2000. He started working as a health technician at the Turkish Retirement Fund in 2001, and currently works as the Branch Manager in the Medical Device Department of the General Health Insurance General Directorate of the Social Security Institution. He takes part in the legislation of prosthetics and orthoses financed by the Social Security Institution.

Gönül Ercan

Gönül Ercan completed the undergraduate education at Namık Kemal University, Department of Biomedical Engineering in 2014. She started working at the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency in 2015. She is currently working on ÜTS registration processes and system developments at the Institution. She has certificates in the fields of medical device quality system chief inspector and test and calibration management system inspection duty. She takes part in the preparation of guidance documents in the UDI Working Group, one of the European Commission’s working groups on medical devices. She continues his master’s degree at Gazi University Institute of Science, Department of Information Security Engineering.

Fatih Erbahçeci

He graduated from Hacettepe University School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation in 1983. He received his Master’s degree in 1990 and his Doctorate degree in 1992. In 1993, he received the title of Lecturer, Associate Professor in 1994, and Professor in 2000. He worked as the Director of Hacettepe University Polatlı Vocational School of Health Services between 2005 and 2012. He has many national and international publications in the field of prosthetics-orthotics and has edited many books. He currently continues his studies in the field of prosthetics-orthotics at Hacettepe University Faculty of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation. He has been the President of the Turkish Prosthetics-Orthotics Science Association since 2013.

 


F. Gül Yazıcıoğlu

She completed the undergraduate education at Hacettepe University, School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation in 1978, completed the master’s degree in 1981 and the doctorate in 1987 at Hacettepe University, Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. She received the title of Professor in 1995, held many managerial positions, and most recently served as the Dean of Hacettepe University, Faculty of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation between 2019-2021. She has more than 100 national and international publications and many projects in the fields of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, prosthesis, orthosis and biomechanics. She has given many courses in the field of prosthetics orthotics at associate, undergraduate, master’s and doctoral levels.


Yoshiyuki Sankai (Japan)

Prof. Dr. Yoshiyuki SANKAI earned a Ph.D. in Engineering from University of Tsukuba in Japan in 1987. He has progressed to professorship at the Graduate School of Systems and Information Engineeringat the University of Tsukuba. Dr. Sankai was also a visiting professor at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas in the United States. He currently serves as a professor, the Executive Research Director at the Center for Cybernics Research and the Director at the F-MIRAIat the University of Tsukuba. He is the President and CEO of CYBERDYNE Inc. Prof. Sankai is a member of many associations related to health and engineering. Sankai has received many important awards such as Intellectual Property Achievement Awards, World Technology Award, Good Design Award.


Sebastian Engwald Jensen (Denmark)

Lasse Madsen (Denmark)

At the age of 14, Lasse W. Madsen had his right leg amputated 10 centimeters above the knee after a traffic accident. The doctors’ report was that he would never run again. But Lasse W. Madsen was running and doing somersaults nine months later, and today he has turned his accident into a worldwide business. With an engineering background, Lasse has developed his leadership skills at the company Viking, where he ended his career as development director in 2019 to start Levitate. With his impressive management experience and his courageous startup Levitate, Lasse W. Madsen is placed on the American business magazine Forbes’ prestigious ’30 under 30′ list of business talents. Levitate, produces and sells sports prostheses 90 per cent. He is currently the founder and CEO of Levitate.


Mustafa Akkaya

Dr Mustafa Akkaya has an associate professor degree in the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology at Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University in Turkey. He completed his orthopaedics and traumatology residency at the same institution. He has a PhD degree in Musculoskeletal System and Regenerative Medicine. He is the former president of the Turkish Residents and Young Attendings Council and served as a board member in several boards of the Federation of Orthopaedic Trainees in Europe. He has several publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and has completed several European Union and national projects. Dr Mustafa Akkaya had been in Atos Clinic in Germany and Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute in Italy for short term fellowships. He had worked in a clinical research fellowship position in Helios ENDO-Klinik-Hamburg, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in Germany. Dr Mustafa Akkaya is interested in knee & hip arthroplasty, revision surgery and advanced joint replacement.


Senay Çerezci Duygu

She graduated from Başkent University, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in 2013. She completed the master’s and doctorate education at Hacettepe University, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Prosthetics, Orthotics and Biomechanics program. She worked as a Research Assistant and Lecturer at Başkent University between 2014-2022. In February 2022, he was appointed as a Lecturer at the Department of Orthotics and Prosthesis, University of Health Sciences, Gülhane Faculty of Health Sciences. She has been serving as the Head of the Department since 2022.


Mustafa Demiral

Mustafa Demiral is a prosthetic orthotic technician who was born in 1973 and is married. After graduating from Ankara University Dikimevi Vocational School of Health Services, Orthosis and Prosthesis Department in 1993, he successfully completed Anadolu University, Faculty of Economics, Public Administration Department in 2004, and then completed his bachelor’s degree in health and Istanbul University, Open and Distance Education Faculty Management Department. He worked at Erdem Medical Prosthesis Orthosis Center between 1995 and 1998, and at TSK Rehabilitation Center between 1999 and 2016. After working in the Orthosis-Prosthesis Unit, he currently works at Gaziler FTR Training and Research Hospital. He continues to work as a prosthetic orthosis technician at the Orthosis-Prosthesis Production and Application Center.


Özden Yalçınkaya Alkar

She completed her undergraduate education in Middle East Technical University, Department of Psychology in 1997, completed her master’s degree in Middle East Technical University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Psychology in 2001 and her doctorate in 2006. In 2020, she received the title of professor. Since 2013, she has been working as a faculty member at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Psychology.  She received CBT training from Beck Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Institute. She has many national and international publications and projects in the field of psychology. She has also received CBT-oriented theoretical and applied psychotherapy trainings on different psychopathologies from many international psychotherapists and scientists. In addition to her undergraduate programme, she teaches theoretical and applied courses and CBT-oriented supervision in the Clinical Psychology Master’s and Doctoral Programmes at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. She has authored more than 50 scientific articles and book chapters in these fields. Currently, she is the Vice Chair of the Department of Psychology and Head of the Department of Clinical Psychology at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University.


Necati Yücel Yıldız

In 1989, he graduated from Hacettepe University Prosthetics-Orthotics department. Later, in 2021, he completed Istanbul University Health Management Undergraduate programme. He has been working in the private sector between 1990-1997. Since December 1997, he has been working in GATA and Gaziler Hospital Prosthetics-Orthotics unit.  He teaches as an Expert Instructor in the University of Health Sciences Prosthetics-Orthotics Undergraduate and Associate Degree programmes. At the same time, he is the Education Coordinator of the Veterans Prosthetics-Orthotics Unit of these programmes.


Mehmet Can Yıldız

In 2015, he graduated from Hacettepe University Prosthetics and Orthotics Department. He has been working as the Responsible Manager at Nanomed Prosthetics and Orthotics Centre since the school period and after graduation until today. Thanks to the trainings and certificates he has received, he performs advanced technology Lower Extremity Prosthesis, Bionic Arm Prosthesis applications in Upper Extremity. Finally, he continues his current trainings on Silicone Cosmetic Prostheses, which are rarely applied in our sector. Nanomed Prosthesis Orthosis Centre performs Silicone Prosthesis Applications under the name SiliconHouse.


Hasan Ersöz

After graduating from Dicle University Faculty of Medicine, he worked at İzmir Dokuz Eylül University Hospital and İzmir Tepecik Training and Research Hospital. After his short-term experience in Manisa State Hospital, he returned to Izmir again, this time with the title of “Assistant Professor” and “Head of the Department of Thoracic Surgery – Founding Faculty Member”. At the same time, in January 2019, he went to Shanghai-China to Dr Diego Gonzales Rivas, the leading physician of closed lung surgery, and received training in minimally invasive thoracic surgery (VATS). He is currently working as an academician at Izmir Tınaztepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Thoracic Surgery. He adopts the importance of non-surgical treatment as a priority in the treatment of pectus deformities and acts with the principle of performing surgery only on patients who will not benefit from these treatments.


Zilan Bazancir

In 2013, she graduated from Gazi University Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation. She worked as a research assistant at İnönü University between 2016-2018 and Hacettepe University between 2018-2022. In 2018, she received the degree of science expertise from İnönü University Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation programme and in 2022, she received the PhD of science from Hacettepe University Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation programme. Since 2022, she has been working as a faculty member in Ankara Medipol University Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department. She carries out clinical and academic studies in the fields of orthopaedic rehabilitation, rehabilitation technologies, orthosis, biomechanics, scoliosis, chest and spine deformities.


Felix Brinckmann (Germany)

He received training to become a Certified Prosthetist orthotist between 1996-2000. He worked as a manager in different private companies between 2005-2020. He has been working at Proteor since 2020, where he still works. He serves as European Technical Manager at Proteor.


Hilal Keklicek

She completed the undergraduate education at Hacettepe University, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in 2006, completed the master’s degree in 2011 and the doctorate in 2015 at Hacettepe University, Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Prosthesis-Orthotics and Biomechanics. She received the title of associate professor in 2020. She has been working as a lecturer at Trakya University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation since 2017. She has many national and international publications, projects and patents in the fields of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, prosthesis, orthosis and biomechanics. She carries out his studies on time series in movement and walking.


Cengiz Demirkundak

Cengiz Demirkundak, the founder and CEO of Alpmed Medical Devices, completed the undergraduate education at Hacettepe University, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in 2011. Between 2011 and 2012, he worked on biomechanical analysis and gait analysis at Ghent University, Belgium. In 2014, he founded Alpmed Medical Devices Company, which distributes products widely used in scientific research of distinguished companies in the fields of gait analysis, sports sciences and biomechanics. He currently continues his education and studies on Biomechanical analysis at Marmara University Health Sciences Institute Movement and Training Sciences Master’s Program.


Friedbert Kohler
(Australia)

Professor Friedbert Kohler was president of ISPO International from 2017 to 2019 and was serving on the Executive board of ISPO from 2013 to 2021. He was President of ISPO Australia from 2005 to 2011. In 2018 he was awarded the Order of Australia Medal (OAM) in recognition of his longstanding, dedicated contributions to rehabilitation medicine. He holds a conjoint academic appointment as Professor at the South Western Sydney Clinical School of the University of NSW, Sydney, Australia. He has been working with many international groups including the WHO for 2 decades in the fields of rehabilitation and assistive technology and implementation of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health. His primary clinical position is as Senior Staff Specialist in Rehabilitation Medicine at Braeside Hospital.  Administratively he is the Clinical Director for Aged Care and Rehabilitation for South Western Sydney Local Health District and the Director of Medical Services for HammondCare Health


Hatice Gül

She graduated from Dumlupınar University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. She completed his thesis titled “Evaluation of capacity and performance according to ICF in independent ambulation of below-knee amputees” at Hacettepe University Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Prosthesis-Orthotics and Biomechanics Program. She completed his doctorate at Pamukkale University, Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation. Her areas of study are the development of the ICF Core Set in amputees and the application of ICF association rules. She is currently working as a lecturer at Akdeniz University Vocational School of Health Services, Physiotherapy Program.


Narin Kurtuluş (Germany), rahm Gmbh

Born in 1977 in Germany, Narin Kurtuluş graduated from vocational high school in 1997 and worked as an assistant to an orthopaedic physician for 9 years.  She started vocational high school again in 2006 for her second profession, prosthetic orthotics technician. She has graduated since 2009. Between 2010 and 2019, she worked in Ottobock company on prostheses, and since 2019, she worked in Rahm company by developing the expertise on orthoses. The last project she managed is the Myo electronic upper limb orthosis Neo1, which is the result of a joint work with Vincent company and introduced on 2 September 2023.

Ömer Deveci

He is a hands-on and customer-centric technical leader with +9 years of experience in MedTech and IIoT. He has built award-winning products by taking an idea from scratch, validating it with the end users, designing the concept, building the system architecture, and rapid prototyping. He has an obsessive focus on customers and their everyday problems. His approach is “Not only listening to customers but also inventing on their behalf. ” He is Technical Implementation Manager at Ottobock.


David De Magtige

Since 2015 he has been International Sales Director for UK-based Saebo, tackling the challenge of increasing Saebo’s worldwide network to improve the mobility and function of individuals suffering from neurological and orthopedic conditions. Additionally, de Magtige has 17 years of experience as business development manager for Endolite at Chas A Blatchford & Sons, based in Basingstoke, England. It expanded its distributor network in Europe by opening Endolite centers in France, Germany, Norway and Turkey. He is also an experienced educator who has developed training programs for Orthotics & Prosthetics students in Benelux and Scandinavia and Amputee Fitness Days in Europe. He holds a technical engineering diploma in electronics and a master’s degree in business economics and industrial electronics.


Uğur Cavlak

In 1989, he graduated from Hacettepe University School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation as a physiotherapist. He became a science specialist in 1992, a doctor of science in 1996, an associate professor in 2001, and a professor in 2008. He worked at Hacettepe, Dokuz Eylül, Pamukkale, Lefke European, and Eurasia Universities. In 2018, he retired from Pamukkale University. Since 2022, he has been working at Biruni University. He is interested in neurological rehabilitation, chronic pain management, geriatric rehabilitation, and communication techniques. He has edited three books on chronic musculoskeletal pain management, physiotherapist and patient communication, and muscle tone disorders and rehabilitation.

Francesco Chiampo (Italy)

Francesco CHIAMPO is a physiotherapist. He is trained in the Bobath Concept, OMTP Manual Therapy Concept. He has worked as a professor in the undergraduate physiotherapy programme at the Università degli Studi di Parma. He is the owner and founder of Centro San Girolamo rehabilitation centre, active in rehabilitation, neurorehabilitation and gait analysis. He then established the first Cyberdyne HAL ML05 authorised centre in Italy.  He is currently the exclusive representative in Italy for HAL Hybrid Assistive Limb.


Umut Altınkaynak

He completed his secondary education in science. He represented our country in the “First Step to the Nobel Prize in Physics” with his special work called Thermograph, which he prepared together with Tayfun Bilsel, Founding CEO of Clinked, Rabbitsoft, and a Software Engineer from Cambridge University. He is a mechanical engineer, mechanical theory and dynamics expert, biomechanical systems researcher, and wearable robot researcher. He works on mathematical modeling and analysis of human movement and synthesizes treatment protocols for pathologies from these analyses. He has worked on TUBITAK R&D projects. He is currently continuing his R&D activities at INSOL Innovative and his studies on generalized gait concepts and eigenvalue analysis.


Sanna Oscarsson (England)

She graduated from Backang Natural Sciences High School in 2014. She graduated from Jönköping University as a certified prosthetist orthotist in 2017. She worked at the Sweden clinic of Össur company between 2017-2021. Since 2021, she has been a clinical educator in Fillauer Europe, especially in upper limb prosthetics.

Kadir Şahin

Kadir Şahin was born in 1974 in Kaman, Kırşehir. He graduated from the Ankara University Orthopedic Prosthetics and Orthotics Department in 1995. Founded in 1998, he is the General Manager of Ortoport Health Company and carries out activities in Turkey and abroad. He is married and has a daughter who is a student of prosthetic orthosis.


Serkan ÜLKÜ

Serkan Ülkü graduated from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Social Work. He worked in public service in the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Family and Social Services, and Military Psychiatry. Between 2012 and 2016, he worked as a senior manager in the field of disability and aging in the private sector. In 2016, he founded the Ülkü Group of Companies and put into operation Afyonkarahisar Ülkü Care Centres, Ülkü Hayat Nursing Home, and Muhterem Care Centres. He is the founder and manager of the international company serving in the field of international health and care tourism, which was established under the ZSA Health Brand as of 2021 within the group. Serkan ÜLKÜ, who has awards in the field of entrepreneurship, takes on voluntary responsibilities in many non-governmental organizations. He is the founding president of the Foundation for the Development of Disabled and Elderly Services.


Çiğdem Ayhan Kuru

Çiğdem Ayhan Kuru is a faculty member at Hacettepe University, Faculty of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation. In 2001, she graduated from Hacettepe University with honors. In 2004, she completed her master’s program and received her doctorate degree in 2010, associate professor in 2016, and professor in 2023. She has had educational and research activities in the field of hand rehabilitation in Belgium and Italy. She has carried out many important research studies and projects in her field. She has many international publications, patents, and awards in the field of hand rehabilitation. She has been the Turkish representative of the European Network of Physiotherapy in Higher Education’s Association. She is currently a board member of the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Education Association.


Wendy Medeiros (USA)

She received a Bachelor of Science in Cellular Biology from Chaminade University in 1987–1988, a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Medicine from the University of Hawaii in 1988–1989, and a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from San Jose State University in 1993. In 1993–1998, she worked at Stanford University Hospital in hand therapy, dysphagia research, HIV/AIDS research, and lymphedema research. She was part of the team that established North America’s first lymphedema facility. Between 2000 and 2006, she founded Howard Therapy, a private hand therapy rehabilitation clinic in Redwood City, California, which she owned and operated. Since 2006, she has been the owner, inventor, and manufacturer of the Wristwidget®. WristWidget® has touched over 1 million wrists worldwide.

Bahar Anaforoğlu Külünkoğlu

A 2003 graduate of Hacettepe University, Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, Bahar Anaforoğlu Külünkoğlu completed her master’s and doctorate degrees at Hacettepe University in 2006 and 2011 respectively. Between 2008-2012, she worked as a lecturer at Başkent University, between 2012-2014, she worked as an assistant professor at Başkent University, and after 2014, she started to work at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. Since 2014, he has been working in Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, and since 2019, he has been working as an Associate Professor, and at the same time, he is the head of the department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. Bahar Anaforoğlu Külünkoğlu, who has many national and international articles in the field of sports and prosthetics-orthotics in the disabled, is a member of the International Society of Prosthetics and Orthotics.


Muhammet Mustafa Sulak

Muhammet Mustafa Sulak, who graduated from Atatürk University Faculty of Medicine in 2012, completed his specialization at the same university in 2018. Sulak, who works in hospitals such as Ayancık State Hospital, Durağan State Hospital and Vm Kocaeli Medical Park Hospital, has been a sub-branch specialist in Algology at Hacettepe University since 2022. He currently works as a research assistant at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Algology.

 


Selçuk İsaoğlu (Germany)

After completing the primary and secondary education in Turkey, he successfully completed her undergraduate education in Psychology at the University of Kassel, Germany (Bachelor of Science). He then continued the master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, Psychotherapy and Clinical Neuropsychology at Bielefeld University (Master of Science). In his undergraduate thesis, he discussed the relationships between chronic pain and depression and multimodal pain therapy. His master’s thesis examined the relationships between chronic pain and depression, anxiety and stress disorders, multimodal pain therapy and the moderating effects of pain on psychological disorders. Selçuk İsaoglu is a professional with 6 years of experience in the field of pain and currently works at St. Petersburg Hospital, which belongs to the Catholic Hospitals Group. He works as a psychologist in the field of multimodal pain therapy at the pain clinic of Vincenz Hospital Brakel.


Yavuz Yakut

Prof. Dr. Yavuz Yakut completed the undergraduate education at Hacettepe University School of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. He received his doctorate degree from Hacettepe University, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in 1990. He also received a master’s degree from Hasan Kalyoncu University, Department of Educational Measurement and Evaluation. He was the editor of the Turkish Journal of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. He was the president of the Turkish Physiotherapists Association. He is currently the editor of the Journal of Exercise Therapy and Rehabilitation, which he founded. He is the founding president of the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Education Association. His areas of interest are orthotics and prosthesis, cerebral palsy and scoliosis, measurement and evaluation in education, research methodology, clinical biomechanics and kinesiology. He has many international and national publications. He has patents and research in the field of prosthetics and orthotics. Prof. Yakut has membership in international and national professional organizations. He continues to work as the Head of Hasan Kalyoncu University Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department.


Murat Ali Çınar

Murat Ali Çınar, who graduated from Dokuz Eylül University, Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation in 2010, completed his master’s and doctorate degrees at Hasan Kalyoncu University in 2017 and 2021, respectively. He worked as a physiotherapist at Acıbadem Health Groups between 2010 and 2014. Between 2015 and 2021, he worked as a research assistant at Hasan Kalyoncu University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. After 2021, Dr. He continues to work at Hasan Kalyoncu University as a faculty member. Murat Ali Çınar, who has many national and international articles, also takes part in many Tübitak projects.


Kemal Güllü

Professor Dr. Kemal Güllü, who works at Izmir Bakırçay University, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He completed his undergraduate, graduate and doctoral studies at Kocaeli University, Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering in 2001, 2003 and 2006, respectively. He worked as a faculty member at Kocaeli University, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering between 2006-2020. He has been working as a faculty member at Izmir Bakırçay University, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering since 2020. He actively took part in many R&D projects. He has many publications and 2 patents within the scope of these projects. Dr. Kemal Güllü continues his R&D activities for the health and defense industry on signal processing, image processing, computer vision, remote sensing and machine learning.


Orhan Er

He was born in Mardin in 1978. After completing his primary, secondary and high school education in Diyarbakır, he graduated from Sakarya University, Department of Computer Engineering in 2001. He completed his master’s degree in 2004 and his doctoral studies in 2009 in the Computer and Information Engineering and Electrical-Electronics Engineering departments of the Institute of Science and Technology of the same university. He received his associate professorship from the Department of Computer Engineering in 2018. As of 2023, he continues his academic life as a professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at Izmir Bakırçay University.


Alp Erol Evrendilek

After completing his high school education as one of the last graduates of Bahçelievler Anatolian Health Vocational High School, he completed his associate degree at Istanbul Aydın University. He completed his undergraduate education at Istanbul Medipol University in 2022. During this period, he worked at Proklinik for 8 years, from his high school years until 2023. By establishing the RootCover brand in January 2023, it provides services to companies and patients by working on personalized 3D designs in the prosthetics-orthotics sector.


Levent Aydın

After graduating from Kocaeli University, Faculty of Technical Education, Department of Electronics and Computer Education in 2012, he completed his master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at the same university in 2014 and his doctorate in 2020. He has national and international publications on three-dimensional technologies and orthoses. Levent Aydın, who works as the assistant director of Kocaeli University, Vocational School of Health Services, works in areas such as Biomedical Image Processing, Biomechanics, Biomedical Engineering, Tissue Engineering, Finite Element Method, Biomechanics, Biomaterials.


Çağıl Ertan Duygu

He was born in 1986. He graduated from Ankara University Orthopedic Prosthetics-Orthotics Department in 2011. In the same year, he started working in the technical team at Ottobock Türkiye. In 2019, he founded his own application center, “Bionic Center” Prosthesis Orthosis center. He has been continuing its activities in the field of Prosthesis and Orthotics since 2019. He has been carrying out R&D studies on 3D prosthetic socket applications for about 1 year.


Serdar Okumuş

Serdar Okumuş, who graduated from Mimar Sinan University, Department of Architecture in 1999, founded 5 Dakika Design Agency in 2003 and carried out his practices in the field of decoration and architecture. It has been providing ‘experience design’ services since 2008. The Robot Hand Turkey social responsibility project, which he started to carry out in 2014, turned into the Robot Hand Association, of which he is one of the founders, in 2017. He currently serves as the president of the Robot Hand Association, which provides free mechanical hands with 3D printers to children with hand and finger deformations.


Senem Demirdel

She completed his undergraduate education at Dumlupınar University, Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation in 2008, completed the master’s degree at Hacettepe University, Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Prosthesis-Orthosis and Biomechanics in 2012, and the doctorate in 2019. She has been working as a faculty member at the Gülhane Faculty of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at the University of Health Sciences since 2020. She has national and international publications in the fields of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, prosthesis, orthosis and biomechanics. She continues to work in the fields of amputee rehabilitation and geriatric rehabilitation.


Özge Buket Arslan

She graduated from Hacettepe University, Department of Occupational Therapy in 2015. She completed the master’s degree at Hacettepe University Occupational Therapy Department in 2018. She completed the doctorate education at Hacettepe University Occupational Therapy Department in 2022. She worked as a research assistant at Hacettepe University Occupational Therapy Department between 2016-2022. She has been working as a lecturer in the same department since 2022. She continues her work in the field of hand rehabilitation.

Tarık Tunçer

He graduated from Ankara University, Vocational School of Health, Department of Prosthesis-Orthotics in 2000. He started working as a health technician at the Turkish Retirement Fund in 2001, and currently works as the Branch Manager in the Medical Device Department of the General Health Insurance General Directorate of the Social Security Institution. He takes part in the legislation of prosthetics and orthoses financed by the Social Security Institution.

Gönül Ercan

Gönül Ercan completed the undergraduate education at Namık Kemal University, Department of Biomedical Engineering in 2014. She started working at the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency in 2015. She is currently working on ÜTS registration processes and system developments at the Institution. She has certificates in the fields of medical device quality system chief inspector and test and calibration management system inspection duty. She takes part in the preparation of guidance documents in the UDI Working Group, one of the European Commission’s working groups on medical devices. She continues his master’s degree at Gazi University Institute of Science, Department of Information Security Engineering.

Fatih Erbahçeci

He graduated from Hacettepe University School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation in 1983. He received his Master’s degree in 1990 and his Doctorate degree in 1992. In 1993, he received the title of Lecturer, Associate Professor in 1994, and Professor in 2000. He worked as the Director of Hacettepe University Polatlı Vocational School of Health Services between 2005 and 2012. He has many national and international publications in the field of prosthetics-orthotics and has edited many books. He currently continues his studies in the field of prosthetics-orthotics at Hacettepe University Faculty of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation. He has been the President of the Turkish Prosthetics-Orthotics Science Association since 2013.
